This is sort of relevant ...
Polly has been photographed with Mark Hix the restaurateur & chef a couple of times, at least once in Sue Webster's company. Last year the management board of his restaurants in London and Lyme Regis put the business into administration over his head and he switched to running a fish stall in Dorset. All-by-the-by for us really.
And now I discover that he's taking over the Fox Inn at Corscombe (https://www.dorsetecho.co.uk/news/18901 ... meat-game/) wnich as you know is next door to the Harveys' house. Nor did I know that in 2012 Ray and Eva *bought* the Fox to stop it being converted into housing.

From the article: "...the late Ray Harvey".
I wasn't aware that Ray had passed away. This is possibly the announcement:

That's terrible, I'm surprised the news went unnoticed for a whole monthDrDark wrote:From the article: "...the late Ray Harvey".

Re: Corscombe News!
I have to admit I found out Ray had died in May, completely by accident. I suppose it wasn't a surprise Polly said nothing about it, so neither did I - but you know now.
The Fox was on the market for £275K-£320K - less than I imagined, but still quite an amazing thing for Ray and Eva to do so it can carry on playing a role in the community: you can tell they love the place. When they came to Corscombe it was run by the mother of Val Crabbe who kept the Hope & Anchor in Bridport for some years, where Polly played some of her 'secret' tour-starting gigs. To judge by comments online the Fox had become very run-down thanks to owners and licensees who hadn't any great interest in it. The new licensees Ray and Eva found pulled it round, but running a rural pub is hard going at the best of times, so Mark Hix will have his work cut out.

Re: Corscombe News!
Delighted by Eva and Ray 's (more than) commercial step about the Fox Inn , but very sad for PJ' s loss.
All my love to Her ,Harvey family and Corscombe community.
