"PJ Harvey was an unexpected guest at Maggi Hambling's private view of War Requiem & Aftermath at the Cultural Institute at King's College London. The pair had hit it off after meeting at Somerset House last month and, with the promise of plenty of wine and a whole load of abstract art, PJ Harvey couldn't say no."
Also, repeat from the "Recording" thread, but that's a "long-term" news:
"The Jaipur Literature Festival just got done for 2015, and there are already at least thirty-three confirmed speakers slated to appear next year, including musicians Patti Smith and PJ Harvey <...>"
A friend in New York went to the Sue Webster's "The Folly Acres Cook Book" event and said Polly read her poem then played C'mon Billy, Dress and April ...... apparently it was "outstanding".
Whoa, that does look like Gillian.... I attended this event and I must have been in some kind of trance because I didn't notice her. Didn't end up taking any pics or vids or anything because I just want it to exist simply in my mind.
This was a lovely book launch! It wasn't jam-packed as I thought it would be. I definitely prefer "April" in its stripped-down acoustic version.
