Hey Tori fans,

We have some exciting news to report. Tori has a new album titled Night of Hunters set for September release. The album will coming out via the world’s most celebrated classical label, Deutsche Grammophon.

Here’s how Tori describes the new record:

"It's a 21st century song cycle inspired by classical music themes spanning over 400 years. I have used the structure of a song cycle to tell an ongoing, modern story. The protagonist is a woman who finds herself in the dying embers of a relationship. In the course of one night she goes through an initiation of sorts that leads her to reinvent herself allowing the listener to follow her on a journey to explore complex musical and emotional subject matter. One of the main themes explored on this album is the hunter and the hunted and how both exist within us.”

Hear exclusive tracks from Night of Hunters via the website and email soon.

:eyeroll: I'm a fan of Tori since 1992, I love, respect and admire very much, but for the last 10 years I'm hoping to She make an album that surprised me again, from To Venus and Back does not surprise me, at all record that recorded from 2000 is good but not as amazing and great as he did in the nineties... I'm sorry Tori, but I miss the Tori-nineties.

I liked some songs on ADP. But yeah, I feel her music was very uninspired in the last decase. Her botox face makes me so sad, too.

Forget Torn Anus! (haha) no, I take that back actually. I know many like her so I will do my very best not to troll ;)

What does everyone think of the new Bjork album biophilia? I quite like Bjork, but I have to say it's left me quite underwhelmed. She has to be admired for the effort, but the songs are far too long and tedious. It's unlikely I will get a response here so I might start a thread.

Sad for Tori Amos

Post by jesuspolly »

it is unfortunate that the last disc that recorded Tori Amos in recent years, none has entered into a list with the best of the year, apparently your creativity is not as great as in the 90's...is sad for me :tear:

We hear ya. We all do.

I actually think her new album is pleasant and even pretty at times. The whole kid singing thing is a bit of a put off (even though Tash's voice is beautiful), but it's very nicely arranged. She's done worse in the past few years. We've come to expect a lot from her because of her talent and some of the amazing works she's put out in the past, but I'm not so sure she'll ever go back to that, she just seems stuck. I've come to expect the occasional great song from her among a majority of mediocre ones.
