Nope. The reservoir is now over the spillway. Which means they have no control over the river. One of my old neighborhoods has been evacuated.



The houses are all behind them, where it's deeper.

We're fine where we are, unless one of the big trees comes down in our direction. More storms on the way!

So this is the "What are you thinking?" thread, I guess I'll say what I want to say. I want to go home, I really don't like this place I am at now, and I am not too crazy about the place I am going, but at least I won't have to worry about people trying to kill me there, I'll just have to worry about the damn cold. Damn I wish I was still in grad school.

I'm thinking that I may ask this girl I had a massive crush on in uni ,and recently found out via facebook is single, out for a drink next time im in Birmingham.

I'm also thinking this is risking me looking a bit try hard / freak her out as I have not actually seen or talked to her in any major way in maybe a year and a half...we've kissed before and she drove round to my flat a day after a party but when she turned up I was chucking my guts up with gastroenteritis and I made my flatmate say it would be best if she left. Bad luck I suppose. I couldnt have really asked her to stay!ahahah

I'm also remembering back to that time and she didnt really have the best reputation - but I always thought she was lovely.

Lifes about going for these situations right? At the worst she might just be flattered.

Fuck I dont know. Im leaving for a year in May anyway.

I just want to say that I have 27 days and I'm outta here. I head back to AK, and yeah, Hell and High Water, I'll have internet access once I get back to AK, internet with no filtering at that. It will probably be cold there, but at least I can have hot showers on a consistent basis and have a drink. Peace out ya'll.

It's going to be a sort of quotebank so I can remember all the ones I find and also so I can keep track of lyrics that really mean something to me/move me/fantastically written. I love Hafiz as well! My favorite poet, actually. His words are like a beam of light. If I could meet any dead person it would be him... (haha, what an odd way to say that!)
