There are other people here that live in parts of the world that are rarely visited by these artists, which is just to say, I know I'm lucky. I just hope you get your chance too.

musicians ought to feel a moral urge to go play a gig in Afghanistan, if only to make a point, since it's a place where music used to be banned (and would be banned again if the taliban were allowed victory), so it should be a way to show civic responsibility by availing oneself of the liberty to play music in a place where it was (and still is) denied by the enemy.

Yes, it really is(I prefer it to her previous album actually) She ended the show with "Nevada" my fave from "Calcination.." :)

Few days ago Bat For Lashes played here in Mexico City, as the band which oppened at a Coldplay show.

I'd never paid a cent to attend to a Coldplay show (they are good, but aren't in my scope of interest). However, if I had knew Bat For Lashes was the guest band, certainly I would buy a good seat just to see Natasha and friends performing live... Too late... :(

Just got my tickets in the mail for Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings for May 1st at the Apollo Theater, NYC. This will be my 1st time at the Apollo and it should be a total trip. I saw the group a couple of months back and have to say Sharon Jones is the best live performer I've ever witnessed. Picture James Brown in action during his prime..only female and a touch over 5 feet tall. That's what I'M talking about.

It was funny, as, one night, I randomly said to a friend, "I would give anything to see Florence live right now." Two days later, she texted me and let me know that she'd announced a date in Seattle.
