DrDark wrote:You're absolutely right. The essence of the song is contained in the transition to the "I dream" part. The lyrics work in conjunction with that.
The "I dream" never ceases to give me chills in the best possible sense. Truly heavenly.

Couldn't get through the whole of 'April' initially. That was the problem. With Polly's beautiful voice I couldn't understand why she'd chose to sing like an 80 year old woman who smokes 40 B&H a day. It was only when we saw her at the SBE and she built up to the cresendo of 'I dream...' that I loved it. I agree with yarn for hair and Dr Dark. It is a hair-on-the-back-of-your-neck-moment.

It's a hard question because I've always come to the conclusion that I love EVERY PJ tune.
Anyway, my "least favourite" award goes to You Said Something. Even though I have started to appreciate its simplicity and honest lyrics, I keep on thinking that's very far from my personal taste.

You Said Something is definitely one of my least favorites as well, but at least the WXRV version made it a little more listenable to me.

^But, you never learn what that 'something' is! What did he/she say? What was really important? I guess that's the song's charm that won me over. Granted, I don't play it frequently, but it does put a smile on my face whenever I hear it :green:

I think it's "Hook"... I dunno why though. There's something with it. But I love the Rid of Me record anyways :)

I remembered 2 more that I often skip whenever they pop up.

Airplane Blues and Cleveland. No, no, no, no, no!

I listen to Why'd Ya Go To Cleveland a lot. I love it plus Cleveland is close to me so I get all hyper fangirl and think "omgz she wrote a song with my state! i'm so lucky" lol
