Cool, thanks. I've never seen this last one with her and Rob looking off in the distance.

Re: Polly's Official Instagram Account

Kind of interesting, TheNightengale.

The hair and eyebrows here is like a transition phase evolving between her TBYML and ISD? stylistic eras.

Re: Full back catalogue REISSUES + demos (DHALP on 10/02)

Interesting to learn from the JP interview that, 'Is That All There Is' was a one-take, never previously rehearsed track. And that became the released version!

Walking Dead_The World Beyond ('The Devil' featured)

I stumbled upon the fact that this new Walking Dead spin-off TV series has the song, 'The Devil' featured somehow. Youtube was suddenly flush with comments related to this song in conjunction with the series.

So I decided to tune into the first (pilot) episode, just curious to see how much and ...

Re: Full back catalogue REISSUES + demos (DHALP on 10/02)

Someone in the youtube comment section for the Send His Love To Me video made a matter-of-fact comment about how, "glad they were remastering all of the videos".

Did I miss something, is that part of the plan with all these reissues?

Re: Full back catalogue REISSUES + demos (DHALP on 10/02)

Love that cover. These are the demos I'm most excited about. I can't wait to hear what the songs sounded like before all the production and added instrumentation. I wonder if she always had the electronic elements in mind for these songs or if that was put on when they were recording the album ...

That's weird. I can't see a thing in the OP. Had to quote it in order to reveal that there was a link and then copy and paste it into youtube to see it.

Cool. I have a sister who never understood my musical affection for PJ. But she likes Pink.

So this will definitely come in handy! :green:

Re: 2020-06-26/28 BBC2 broadcasts classic Glastonbury video

How realistic do you think it would be to investigate who owns the pro-shot footage from 1995 (broadcast by Channel 4 but maybe they outsourced the coverage to a production company)? Then petition for its release and/or crowdfund it amongst Polly’s legion of fans? There’s a small part of my brain ...

Re: 2020-06-26/28 BBC2 broadcasts classic Glastonbury video

The outrageous pink catsuite and her theatrical performance makes it highly watchable for most PJH fans.

I suspected that’s what it was. Sigh...

For me, this performance has some of the finest if not THE finest renditions of at least a couple songs.

Teclo and Water, especially IMO.

This in ...

Re: Full back catalogue REISSUES (Dry on 07/24)

A complaint I have about TBYML and Is This Desire?, which no one else ever seems to voice.. and I don't understand why, I can't be alone in this..

The bloated, over-saturated bass. It's just far too over-whelming on some tracks, destroying ever other sound in its path. And the better your speakers ...

Re: Full back catalogue REISSUES (Dry on 07/24)

I also hope they don't fuck around too much with the loudness of Dry and Rid of Me and don't compress the sound of those records too much; they'd lose their raw, 'live' feel. A subtle boost in volume and clarity would be welcome, but let's hope they don't brickwall them.

EXACTLY.

Perfectly ...

Re: Josh Klinghoffer talks Uh Huh Her tour on Marc Maron Pod

Of course there's the rumors of a relationship between Polly and Josh during the UHH tour in 2004:

I recall during that time Eric Drew Feldman's band kNIFE & fORK was opening for her on the tour and their web site featured a "tour journal" forum for the band members to ...
