Couldn't resist temptation, the venue just looks so great. Booked tickets for the show today.
Never been to Luxembourg before, looking forward to seeing the city too.

it feels very special when Polly is pulling you to a place you've never been before.
but let us hope to the heavens that it won't rain!

My thoughts exactly!
I hope the stage is set up like this:
http://luxembourg.arounder.com/en/histo ... nster.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Would be a perfect setting considering the theme of LES, with the old casemates in the background.

I think the stage is always set up this way, with casemates in the background. I suspect there won't be chairs though.
Pic from Goldfrapp's gig there in 2008:

Damn now I have to mow the lawn and clean up the mess...
Clemens will not be able to make it (I think his ticket is still for sale if you'r einterested), so besides RedGretsch is there anyone else from the forum coming?

words of gratitude to Olivier for going through the trouble of selling my ticket (he just messaged me about it).
but I'm jealous of his presence there (as he was queueing for the concert while writing me on Facebook).
I'm looking forward to a good gig report.

brilliant show & the best version of Pocket Knife yet, her new outfit (new to me anyway) suited her "antics" as she acted out & danced her we through it
the audience (& Polly for that matter) seemed very subdued at first but about half way through we all came to life - it coincided with polly getting a cup of hot tea on quite a blustery Luxembourg evening in a lovely venue.
sorry just the one picture, too busy being mesmerized by our Pol
good too meeting up with Olivier in his adopted homeland & a big thanx to him for taking us in for the night, i'd love to tell you more but this mac keyboard of his is driving me fcuking mad!!
happy times.

I thought I had posted a message after the show at 2am and then again this morning... Don't know what happened to them!!!
Anyway, great concert with a very surreal feeling, being outdoors, starting with daylights... We were ready for the rain but we didn't have to use the (provided) ponchos...
The highlight for me was Pocket Knife too, very theatrical performance from Polly a little dance before.. she should do that more! Loved the new outfit too (not a dress but black jacket and matching trousers). When she was not playing an instrument she wore black gloves because the weather was quite chilly...
Also loved C'Mon Billy and all the LES songs really take another dimension when played live.
Here are 2 semi-crappy pics just for memory:
