Well this just popped up while I was looking for something entirely different. YouTube knows me well. That Courtney Love is a fan is probably not news, but here she talks a bit and then sings... And it's, well, it's different.

The choice is endearing and a testament to her long admiration ("the only rockstar that makes me know I'm sh*t is Polly Harvey" - she famously claimed). But the performance, mmm... not so great. Maybe it's the piano/screams combo that doesn't really work in her case. Maybe distorted guitars would have been better. I like Courtney, but her singing has become worse and worse since Celebrity Skin.
