Just saw this on a Stones message board. Musician Ben Waters sent email to a member:
"Just before I came away to Germany I did a very special recording session. I decided that I wanted to do a tribute album to Ian Stewart, Pianist and founder member of the Rolling Stones. "Stu" was a massive influence on me and a friend of the family. The album has now been recorded feat. Charlie Watts, Dave Green, Jools Holland, Ronnie Wood, Pj Harvey and there is a few more special guests to be announced very soon. The album features mostly Boogie Woogie and Blues material that Stu Loved. All the profits are going to go to the British Heart Foundation. The album should be out later this year."

Apologies to those who are already familiar with the story..
Ben Waters is Polly's cousin. Ian Stewart was a very good friend of Polly's parents when she was growing up.
There's a nice pic of Ian and Polly's mum here:

Stu was a great player & was involved in some very historical recording sessions and tours.
Nice to see some respect being paid and that Polly will be involved. Hope it's a full blown blues tune! Now THAT would be cool

The Rolling Stones - including former bassist Bill Wyman - have recorded a cover version of Bob Dylan's 1971 song, "Watching The River Flow". The track will be included on Boogie With Stu, a tribute album to "the sixth Stone", boogie-woogie pianist Ian Stewart. Stewart was kicked out of the original Stones line-up in 1963, but continued to play with the band, on stage and in the studio, until his death in 1985.
Ben Waters, also a boogie-woogie piano player, is behind the project, which will be released March 9. Gigs are expected to be announced on his website, although it is unclear if any of the Stones will appear.
According to Spinner, the album was started last year with contributions from drummer Charlie Watts, guitarist Ronnie Wood, Jools Holland and Waters' cousin, PJ Harvey. More recently, Mick Jagger added his part, singing and playing harmonica, while Keith Richards sang background vocals on one song, and played guitar on three tracks. Boogie With Stu was produced by Glyn Johns.
Waters' management confirmed that all of the album's proceeds will go to the British Heart Foundation.
The original Bob Dylan version was released as a single in 1971, and was produced by Bob Johnston and Leon Russell. It was also the opening track on Greatest Hits Vol. 2.
Wonder if Polly will find time to perform at any of the gigs?

The song's amazing. I can't wait to hear her version of this. I always thought she should do a soul/blues/jazz album.

This will be great, I'm sure!
The mention says "... with very special guests..." which, of course, will be the Stones - or could be Peej...
