Very pleased we won't be hearing Polly's voice on the John Lewis (UK department store) TV ads this Christmas. Nice to know some artists' integrity still cannot be bought unlike .........

But couldn't it mean that Lily is covering one of Polly's songs?

Chances are it won't be a cover of a Polly song (thankfully!), in the article it says:

"It is understood that Allen - married name Lily Cooper - is likely to have recorded a cover of Keane's 2004 single Somewhere Only We Know for the ad, although other alternatives have been considered."

That'll be the annual cover: slow a classic rock tune right down and have some tart warble all over it.
