New John Parish Album

John Parish will be releasing an album of his film music - 'Screenplay' in April.
'Screenplay' features music from Ursula Meier's award winning 'Sister', Patrice Toye's new 'Little Black Spiders' and more, and will be available through Thrill Jockey on CD and limited edition double vinyl.
John and band will also be playing a series of shows in front of a live mix of scenes from the various films. Shows currently announced are :
14th March - UK - Bristol, St Georges' Hall
(with support from Nive Nielsen and the Deer Children)
12th April - BE - Oostende, Zaal de Zwerver
13th April - BE - Turnhout, De Warande - Kuub
14th April - DE - Hamburg, Aalhaus
15th April - DE - Berlin, Privatclub
16th April - DE - Heidelberg, Karlstorbahnhof
17th April - CH - Zürich, Exil
18th April - CH - Bern, ISC Club
19th April - CH - St.Gallen, Grabenhalle
16th May - UK - London, Queen Elizabeth Hall

This is very exciting! I saw Sister and most of the music in it was Girl from DHALP and different variations on it. I'll be interested in hearing some of the longer versions of those variations, I remember a really nice piano one. And I'll definitely be attending the Bristol show.
