Though I'm presently unfocused with my musical attention--seeing Lisa Hannigan tonight yet I've been listening to My Brightest Diamond all week--I quite like Fiona's new songs. I love the phrasing and details in her lyrics. Compelling yet personal. She was playing the first two live on her mini-tour in March, perhaps biasing me. She's terrifying live. In a brilliant way. I'm looking forward to seeing her again in July.

I love her wonderful weirdness.

Did any of you guys listen to the stream on NPR today? I gotta admit, it's all I listened to today at work. I absolutely LOVE the new album. I cannot wait to get my hands on those lyrics. Hot Knife is such a great, catchy ass song.
This totally made me look forward to seeing her live next month even more!
