Great interview, Mark sounds like he was cast from the same mold as Don Van Vliet. :laugh:


Hey Brits, explain the subtle usage of shite vs shit to me:

"That book," says Smith, was shite."

"It's been gentrified. It's shit now."

Shite is one of those British colloquialisms, both can be used interchangeably. The French have a habit of adding an e to the end of a word to make it feminine, like artist vs. artiste. Maybe he's gentrifying the word too then in that instance. Why he would seek to do this is obscure, as is Mark and indeed most Fall lyrics! If you try and work out everything he says though it's guaranteed to drive you insane-ugh :eyes:
