It's part and parcel of our diseased celebrity culture that we assume artists want to air their dirty laundry in public. The clear boundary Harvey sets up between her life and her art demands our respect—however frustrating it may sometimes be.
Ah yes, but this does not stop the author from going on to gossip about her relationship with Nick Cave and her alleged courtship with Vincent Gallo. That makes him a bit of a hypocrite, I think...
