From Tumblr:
PJ Harvey tonight.
I got there a little bit later than the typical superfan, and got a spot towards the front on the left side, which I was not excited about. But boy was I in for a surprise when it turned out that she does the entire show from all the way on the left side of the stage. Spectacular show, spectacular night.

I just went to Best Buy to buy a copy and they were completely sold out. I was like "are you sure you typed in PJ Harvey?" If there are fellow fans in my vicinity I need to track them down and make love to them.

All I want to do is walk into my favorite record store and buy the album on vinyl. Which means all women should make love to me in a very special, vinyl kind of way.

OK I'll be honest and say that I really really thought this was going to be my least favorite PJ album 'coz all of the war theme (`coz I don't mind war at all)
But dear God, I've been listening 24/7 and I just can't get enough of it
It might be her best effort to date next to ITD? (I have to say that my fave PJ album is Rid Of Me, but I'm aware it is not her best artistically)
LES just as it all
Dear God I just can't get enough from The Colour Of The Earth, it is so fucking amazing how such a short song can hold such dark meaning and have such happy melody, dear God that mix just make it DISTURBING I LOVE IT !!!!!!!
*0*
Now that I did read the lyrics from "Bitter Branches" I just felt in love I just can't stop picturing the wives waving goodbye their men with such frenetic beat it is INSANE GOD LOOOORD
The Words is such a tasty vintage song and the character it's fucked up too
Glorious Land is so "in your face" it is full of charm just for that
Hanging In The Wire is unspeakably beautiful, also Forehead and Battlesip Hill
I still don't get the love from "England" but I do like the "Leaving California/April" mix with the childlish voice, it's just a matter of time to fall for it too
I honestly have to say that when we had the snipets of every song I kind of felt dissapointed because I felt that subject was way out of my concern, but she reaches to it in such a human and gutty way that really touches you
I am sooooooooooo glad to say that it is becoming more than I was expecting from her
I'm ecstatic (obsly you can tell hahaha )

I wonder if Polly gives refunds.

I'm starting to become more in favour of "The Colour Of The Earth" than I initially though I would. That one is a grower though. More Importantly:

^ I guess this is one way to get your money's worth!
It's actually kind of surprising that even people that don't seem to like LES much at first, are coming around. Still, I expect there's gotta be a few people that don't like it.

^ There's still a fair crop of unappreciative whingers and whiners. Don't you worry about that! lol

Polly in Mojo, which goes on sale next week.
Here's a blurb from the official website, courtesy of menju56 at unforumnzed:
PJ HARVEY: Her life went from Beefheart and lamb’s testicles to breakdowns, brilliance and dating Nick Cave. John Harris talks to wilful genius Peej about Les Dawson, modern conflict and her jaw-dropping new album.

PMed!
Every BB store around me isn't carrying it:

I'm starting to think the album wasn't stocked well. There's no way she's selling out everywhere here, especially with the little promotion she's done.

She's getting so huge. I give her two years to be featured in the Twilight Saga soundtrack.
