No, I think more of an Ancient Greek Satyr type of thing. Plus, this big white piece of stage (which is a part of a tour, I believe) IMO has some ancient-architecture vibes. It also may have something to do with the goat from the album cover (it was suggested by head's_bullet in here after the Andrew Marr show appearance).

So, she's once again "a creature from another world" (like in the "LES" tour), describing the "carnage" she has seen in our world, but this time in a bit more amusing / entertaining / provocative way (all of her dancing and stuff).

Stage director Ian Rickson describes her part simply as a "tribal queen", so it might be a combination of all aforementioned things ("whatever viewer makes of it").

Omg, she's doing the TBYML style dancing again. YAY! Her voice sounds wonderful.

She really seems to be at the peak of her artistic powers. Seeing the songs live really made them come alive for me.

It certainly is from listening and seeing it through a computer. I would say live it would be a thrilling experience. It looks like it is designed to be much more exciting than the LES tour. This is required for all those festival shows that she has. She looking and sounding fantastic too. Don't miss her if you have the opportunity to see her. Do It Live. :applause:

Yes, it looks night-and-day different than the LES tour. She was almost robotic on that tour. Being entirely covered up by her outfits didn't help either.

Hopefully a full gig torrent will show up soon. If we're really lucky it will be a video torrent.

It seems to me that this tour involves an artist she admired a while back and has used that template for her band ( including a member of that band Terry Edwards ).

Mother Jones - Michael Mechanic - Feb, 11 2011
In terms of contemporary artists, I really like The Fall. And Jerry Dammers; I was really struck by a recent performance by his Spatial AKA Orchestra. It left me speechless. It was absolutely incredible.

The Spatial AKA Orchestra is a large jazz-style ensemble (up to 25 members) led by former Specials frontman and keyboard player Jerry Dammers. The ensemble originated as a tribute band to the American musician Sun Ra (1914–1993) when Dammers formed it as The Cosmic Engineers to play at a "Space"-themed event in 2006 at the newly reopened Roundhouse in London. Later he renamed it The Spatial AKA Orchestra, derived from The Special AKA (alternative name of The Specials) combined with the outer space connotations of Sun Ra's music.

It a mini-version, but it's a belter.
