My fantasy from fairly early on was both to use music by PJ Harvey within the source tracks, and to find a way to collaborate with her. Cillian Murphy, who plays Tommy Shelby, is great friends with Flood, the producer who has worked with Polly Harvey (as well as Nick Cave) and we began to talk about whether there might be a way for this to work. We needed someone else in the process who could create an original score from Polly’s music and Flood suggested Paul Hartnoll (formerly of Orbital) as a final collaborator in the process.

"Goth" is a very loose term here and it is a collection of the good, the bad and the ugly , the ugly being the omission of Joy Division

I've decided NOT to start a new topic called "An old song played on the radio 13 and a half years ago!", so...

Here I found an mp3 record of John Peel's show from 28th February 2001: http://theperfumedgarden.blogspot.ru/20 ... -2001.html.
He played "Kick It To The Ground" that day, so I cut it out: http://www.mediafire.com/download/755f9 ... 0_spbv.rar.

Now, quality isn't perfect, but it's better than previous version that was circling around before. John Peel played it off vinyl ("A Place Called Home" single, I suppose), and he played it in its entirety, too.

And once again, I've already listened to this song today on my own (even before I stumbled upon this pleasant surprise). Maybe I'm a psychic? Or maybe that's somehow related to the fact what I listen to Polly's music for hours every goddamn day. )))

If you can't watch BBC iPlayer because you're outside the UK (like me...), there is an add-on available for Firefox (Windows OS): mediahint.
It has been removed from the official Mozilla-website (because it works!) and it circumvents the geo-blocking that is used on some websites.
Add-ons have an XPI-extension, you rightclick it and open it with Firefox and Firefox will ask you to install it.
