Can you show the magazine in a not very detailed video? such as this : http://vimeo.com/4383306" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Would it be wrong?

^ Ummmm - I'll sleep on it and wait for other opinions.

My first thought, stills or a movie like this (it doesn't make much difference really) might be ok. More of a teaser than a giveaway.

The two problems I have with what people have been requesting are -

1. We don't distribute copyrighted material that is still available. This is sometimes controversial, but in a nutshell, that's it.

2. The magazine is perfect bound, like a book. To get decent scans, I'd have to take it apart. Sorry. I'm not willing to do that.

Anybody else care to weigh in?

The only reason I asked you for the video is because I live in Argentina. is very expensive to send the magazine here.
I read your previous posts and is worth to pay for this magazine
I am a graphic designer, I know that this type of art magazines are gold.(sobre todo esta de pj ;). The scan may damage it.

not my intention to disturb
I hope you are understanding me, for my poor English.
Thanks anyway

I wished we could get the Magazine here without having to buy it online.
I mean you need a Check that can be cashed in a a Us Bank! That's a bit of trouble..hehe.
And credit card is out of the question for me...still paranoid about providing the CC number on the internet.
I'll do more research though and try to find some pseudo underground/indie place around here where they sell it...I'm willing to PAY. Mwahaha.

PLUS: Coppola has a studio or sth like that here in B.A....I wonder why his stuff isn't easier to get, when AT LEAST he knows this part of the world exists.

If I had the time to create a video like that one, I'd do it...but I don't.

Once the magazine sells out (which shouldn't take too long based on the current available back issues list:
http://www.all-story.com/issues.cgi?show=back" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'd imagine scans will make their way here eventually.

nice ^

It'd cost ca. 80 pesos to order+ deliver one to Arg. It's not-that-bad, either.
My particular problem is how to pay since I refuse to use credit cards on the internet :eyeroll: AND It's kind of complicated to draw a check on a U.S. bank from here..
but, well i'll look into it.
I want the mag, lol.

I believe I paid with PayPal, but you still have to link the PayPal account to a credit or other bank account.

Hey guys, I'm new here, but I was curious about what you all thought about the writing for the issue. I was surprised to find that Woody Allen ended up being one of my favorite contributors. I have always been a fan of his work, but I never expected his humor could make me laugh out loud when on paper.

I also unexpectedly fell in love with A Dream of Falling Asleep. Initially, my interest in the story occasionally waned. By the last few moments in the tunnel, however, I was genuinely shocked by how affecting it was. In a Grove was equally fantastic and mysterious, but that was expected from the story's reputation.

And, obviously, Polly's contribution to the magazine was impressive. I am almost positive that--even without my strong feelings of admiration for her--I would have considered her artwork to be the true standout in the issue.

Welcome Mattius!

I'm embarassed to admit I haven't read any of the stories yet. One thing we were wondering was if Polly's drawings were connected in any way with the stories?

I can't be sure, but I would guess that she created each piece separately from the stories. That said, there is a definite progression in theme. I would say she took the time to select pieces that compliment each story. Woody Allen's piece is paired with her equally quirky "sculpture"; The Track of the Assassins is paired with some of her most detailed and realistic work; the pieces surrounding A Dream of Falling Asleep mostly consist of dreamlike imagery. In fact, I actually found myself stopping mid-story to study some of her pieces as if they actually were intended to be part of the story.
