Cannot honestly say I am enjoying Polly's political poetry phase or these collaborations with Seamus Murphy. (Bring back Maria Mochnacz, please!) Looking forward to the album nonetheless.

I don't think Maria would be the best photographer for the subjects she's wriitng about now. Even if I don't like this or any of her future albums, I'm glad she's trying something new again. If you look at most artists, they have a few good years, and then they are always trying to recreate that period of success so they start to stink.
And imo, she's only had one misstep so far- uh huh her. How many, to be honest, awful albums has Dylan released! How many meh albums have the stones released. So far, I trust what she is doing.

Let's be realistic: if they played an album in its entirety, that would be a very strange move to broadcast the live version well ahead of release date. Those greedy record labels!!

Well I loved the new material, especially "The Ministry of Social Affairs" and "River Anacostia".

I also was not so keen on the memorial Lincoln one and can't really remember "The Orange Monkey" that well but there's often one or two tracks on Polly's album I'm not overly enamoured with. The rest were great and it'll be interesting to hear the full versions with all the instruments. Everyone around me seemed to love the new material and they got a standing ovation at the end.

Roll on Spring!

The first song is ministry of social affairs, can you make out the second? I really like all the songs so far, and they'll be even better with all the instrumentation and stuff.

The clips are better than nothing at least, but still. I'd love to hear at least one full song.

And there were so many tracks recorded. Even if the Vietnam song is supposed to be in the album now, they may replace it. How would you describe the overall feel of the songs?

Don't know yet. Can't connect the songs I heard to all those song titles. I guess I liked the Afghanistan songs the best.

I really love her look, so stylish. Do you know if she did the same songs both nights?

I think somme answered your question above.
