Links are coming and going, some have been removed already. My advice is - as we are not supposed to post links here - follow the updates of this Twitter search:

https://twitter.com/search?f=tweets&ver ... n&src=typd

You fill find also many different options and alternatives in case one or another link is removed

All near the memorials is a standout to me.

The sax at the end of Ministry of Social Affairs annoys me.

All Near the Memorials is much better than I expected after the live version.

A Line in the Sand isn't as good as I remember. Whether I bigged it up in my own head or whether it's just not mixed as well as when it was "unmixed" I'm not sure. I was hearing it through speakers after all. And the amazing guitar riff I saw them record is no where to be seen. It's lacking without it.

And for an album that is all about the words I can't understand a lot of what she says. HAs she always annunciated this poorly, or am I getting old? lol. Even so, once I know what she's singing I'm sure I love it.

I added lyric transcripts in the Hope Six lyric thread for Ministry of Defence and A Line in the Sand.

Line in the Sand has regrown on me lol. And I think I can hear that guitar line I saw recorded for the first time ever. It just sounds slightly different. It's weird to think I was there for that.

It's an odd album. In all the right ways of course. And just when I think I can't be surprised by her anymore, I always am. The lyrics are very powerful and I am glad she's used more major chords than she did before.

I remember her talking to FLOOD about how she generally uses minor chords and she wanted to use more major chords. That was something I'd forgotten I'd witnessed at "Recording in Progress" until today. Weird the things that come back to you! I think, considering the subject matter, had she used minor chords for the majority of the album, it'd be too much, too depressing and I love depressing music.

I'm still working everything out in my head but I definitely think it'll be an album to listen to and discuss for many, many years to come.

The album is indeed outstanding. And very emotional.

The only song I'm a little disappointed with is "The Orange Monkey": I liked the live version better - mainly because of the amazing drum pattern (instead of the slight percussion on the album), and its overall simplicity.

Loving all the saxophone stuff. "The Ministry Of Social Affairs" is a bizarre track (in a very good way, for me).

Really digging "Chain Of Keys" (don't know why, but it sounds very "japanese" to me).

"Near The Memorials To Vietnam And Lincoln" simply sounds like HEAVEN.

I actually prefer the album version.

I like how her voice gets slightly louder with each sentence in the first verse, as if by going to these places she's finding her voice and the confidence to talk about them. Syncs very well with the lyrics.
