sunday times
People can get into a terrific lather about PJ Harvey. Is she a woad-daubed Dorset druid, a DM-wearing avenger, a scarlet-lipped siren? She records eight studio albums of startling variety, daring and inventiveness. And, now, a ninth. And still the questions: who is Polly Jean? Is her music an act? Where does she reside in it? I mean, who cares? Listen to the songs, which will trigger your own responses and set off your own trains of thought. In the case of this album, inspired by the time Harvey spent in Afghanistan, Kosovo and Washington, mine were about social and ethnic cleansing, institutionalised corruption and the trauma tourism world leaders love to engage in. But they were also: wow, that combination of Heroes-like guitar and discordant piano on The Community of Hope is thrilling; ditto the moment on River Anacostia when the minor shifts to the major; the way Harvey contrasts natural remedies with big pharma drug-pushing on Medicinals; and her use of that chilling ickle-girl voice on A Line in the Sand. Endless responses and departing trains. Art, then. DC

Me neither. I think it will be announced right before the broadcast on Polly's official pages (like with "The Orange Monkey").Black Hearted Love wrote:can't understand at what time it is supposed to airKuk91 wrote:http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/playlist?filter=new

There's also 105.2 TXFM Dublin announcement: "All next week, we have EXCLUSIVE on tracks from @PJHarveyUK's new album “The Hope Six Demolition Project”", which is also terribly unspecified (listen online).

I'm guessing BBC6 may play some tracks between 4-7. Steve Lamaq often plays new songs.
