Will Island/Universal hurry up already and announce all the tour dates instead of this annoying drip drip drip every few days, so fans can plan which gigs are within reach.

Re: Feb 2011 tour
I suppose they didn't have planned a real tour, probably counting the intrest of people and fans they just decide to go into some cities.
maybe, if in my country a lots will buy the cd they coul decide to come in my city,
hope so

Re: Feb 2011 tour
all this waiting makes me wonder what is actually happening, whether certain concert dates are in the process of being negotiated and what takes them so long to make decisions.
it would be strange if they weren't planning a full-blown tour, considering (among other things) the sheer economical consideration: it's expensive to organize a band and a crew for just a few shows and the more gigs they can do in a sequence the better it pays off.
but it's so inconvenient not to know in advance, not being able to make decent plans. especially when a few shows are being announced early and then tickets for these shows sell out before we even get to know what other shows may be coming up immediately before and after. I find it damned annoying, I must say.

Well Pollyphoniac think we in europe are already spoiled rotten with gigs. Anyway enough for me, not to keen on the summer festivals.

well wickedtongue,
I think the difference between you and me at this moment is that you got tickets for both shows in Amsterdam (am I right?) while I have refrained from buying any, as I'm counting on other gigs in May (presumably in England) and in June (probably in Germany and some other continental countries) but nonetheless it makes me nervous (as no other gigs have been announced within that timeframe and I've seen both Amsterdam shows sell out before my eyes - but I made the decision to skip Amsterdam this time, simply because I was there twice last year and would prefer to spend my money wisely by going places where I haven't been lately). I don't care for the festivals either, too costly and too crowded as they are and lacking the intimate atmosphere of music venues like the Paradiso. but we don't know how long this touring period is going to be, perhaps there'll be more gigs coming up in autumn - yeah, what if Polly gives more gigs in September and all the way until November/December? (by the record of previous tours, this is far from unlikely - so the need for restraint in spending one's limited funds for the sake of later concert emergencies is rather obvious.)
still you're right, of course, about us in Europe being spoiled rotten with gigs.
if I was living in America I would be so nervous right now, with only one regular concert-hall gig announced and having to make a quick decision whether to go to San Francisco (because the show will sell out before any other gigs are announced) and without knowing what other gigs may be coming up... it's really the same predicament (which I've been facing in regard to Amsterdam) but even worse - much worse because of no previous gigs, like we're getting in Europe in February. ("enough for me", you say, may I assume that you're going to all eight of them, in February? our mutual friend Andy is doing so, he has told me, and Lisbon and Amsterdam as well - that's true devotion, I do declare.)

Uh oh. Since you put it that way, the Warfield gig is going to sell out quick, being the only other gig in the western US besides Coachella and that is sold out.

It's gotta be Pacific Time. http://www.thewarfieldtheatre.com/event ... p?id=30624
I'm hoping/betting that there will be more shows. She did the for the AMAWWB tour, one show announced in LA, and then she came back.

Re: Feb 2011 tour
There's still a Glasto sized hole in her schedule I'm happy to see. You'd have thought Benicassim or Primavera might be added to.
I wonder if a more intensive tour might be on the cards for the autumn too?

Re: Feb 2011 tour
Yeah, she usually plays Western US in the fall, if the tour follows the same pattern as last year, there will be more shows. then.
Got my ticket for the Warfield.
