Having already effectively agreed to sign with Island for the next album, the band had been offered the use of Island's studios in Hammersmith, but the sessions there had been aborted as they were dissatisfied with the results. According to Paul Cox [of the Too Pure label], a different recording of the whole album [Dry] is still in the vaults.

I wonder if that's the content in one of those two cassettes with the Dry tracklist

I know the economic situation is dire right now but rumour says Island might be cooking up some reissues (no word yet if vinyl or CD and whether they will be remastered and/or include bonus tracks) so everybody start putting aside some coin!

To put it short I heard about possible early PJH albums reissues coming soon from a music biz person earlier this year and this Instagram teaser seems to confirm it. Just a word of mouth, of course, so take it with a grain of salt - all I'm saying is just in case I'm starting to budget for them.

Theories as to what 'Clothes' may have been?

There's a "Legs #3" without a #1 or a #2, so I was wondering if Clothes was supposed to be Legs, but that would be a weird mistake to make.

Interesting that the demo for Hardly Wait is from July 91. That is consistent with the BMI list (http://www.thegardenforum.org/viewtopic ... 312#p22475) where it is part of the earliest batch of songs, but I wonder why they never(?) performed it at the time.

the planned reissue in 2014 has been postponed 6 years later (vinyl only)

The reissues were cancelled despite some new test pressing were made in 2013 approved by John Parish.

That's so cool. I never knew the reissues made it far enough to warrant test pressings. I always assumed they were dropped sometime in the planning phase. I wonder what happened to cause them to cancel them.

Sorry. It's a pure speculation. I dont' know anything about future reissues.

Remastered albums with outtakes and alternative mixes would be great.
