Re: Let England Shake on 2011's year-end lists
Tim de Lisle in today's Mail on Sunday Review:
'Artistically, Adele was matched by another British female. Eight albums into a hefty career, PJ Harvey has made her masterpiece with Let England Shake, a worthy winner of this year's Mercury Music Prize. It has all the ramshackle charm of the new folk scene and much more originality, as Harvey invents her own genre: sophisticated protest skiffle.'

Wiggins is so superbly unassuming, he looks like he's about to say 'Pop the gold medal in the post, I'm nipping out for some biscuits'

No link available, but I just found out that 'Let England Shake' tops the Sunday Times' best album of 2011 list.

The Words That Maketh Murder is #58 on Pitchfork's top 100 tracks. They sure like Beyoncé over there. They'll post the top 50 albums by the end of the week.
