yea but that's not her Dorset accent.....i always get the feeling it's an Arabian accent or the like, perhaps tying Ah! UHmeri-CAH! & Oooh, Engerlaaaand together as one in the eyes of the enemies in this "war storries" period - especially of late with Iraq, Afghanistan etc?

In fact, I think this song is a good example of Polly's more natural accent, but in other parts of the song - especially the way she pronounces "iron ploughs"...

Possibly my favourite track, in very large part because of Polly's vocal and especially the way she enunciates certain words, is All and Everyone. "...in the sounds / coming off the mounds... it was in the laughter / and drinking water... strings of cutters..." etc.

I'm quite happy for Polly to adopt different personas and voices for different moods and stories but it does seem to me that her speaking and singing voices have converged that bit more over the past couple of albums and I think that's a large part of their charm. It makes everything feel very heart-felt and sincere.

I love listening to her speak. Could do it all day and not get tired of it.
