So I've been watching Battle Star Galactica instead. Which has been quite good so far.

My Mad men watching partner has been flaking out for a while now. I'm about to give up.

Same here. But I have to say, sometimes the acting is just down right awful!! And it's predictable as hell. Also, I find "Helo" to be the most useless of characters. Why is he even there?
But I am enjoying the series.

Well, I'm only up to about episode 6. But I was wondering what was up with the Helo subplot, and why, WHY, is he given a special text intro EVERY time. No reason? None?

Well, I'm on Season 3 and I still can't answer that for you! lol
Season 3 has become a bit of a chore to watch, but I must know how this ends.

Actually, I started on Season 4 the other day. The acting is just so painfully bad. I am in no rush to see this through.
I wanted to start a drinking game. Every time Gaius Baltar BLINKS, we take a shot. That would make for a very boring drinking game. Have you noticed how he rarely blinks? Damn that man must have some moist eyes.

The 'Withnail and I' drinking game would be more interesting. :-)
Wiggins is so superbly unassuming, he looks like he's about to say 'Pop the gold medal in the post, I'm nipping out for some biscuits'

He doesn't blink so much as twitch. Constantly!
I think the series is more about the plot rather than characters, so none of them are really sympathetic, they don't pull you in much. And they are always stressed, stressed stressed, so it makes the acting kind of flat. They could kill off any character at just about anytime and you wouldn't get too upset about it. I do like the story though.

^Right? It's such a great freaking show. I want my own Ann Perkins.
I don't know about the plot thing. It's the same every episode, except for the throw away ones which Season 3 is full of. The eye roll worthy reveal of Season 4. Oy. Season 1 and 2 were pretty cool, but they really lost me with Season 3 onwards.

Ok, well that's where I'm at, just getting into season 3. So maybe that explains it.

My daughter says, "Fiona and Cake."
Nope, I wait until the end of the day and I can't stay up past1 2. Ok, maybe 3. I have watched more than one episode in a day, but I try not to.
And Portlandia
