Ha! Gearhead. A lot of these old synths are available as digital emulators or plug-ins for recording software. All you need is a controller.

I know, but I want "the real deal" so to speak. Somehow I feel more comfortable with the instrument stacked in the bookshelf or lying in some dark and dusty corner of the apartment than seeing it on the screen.

But it has a UK plug. And you have to pick it up in Los Angeles.

I had an old synth like that, it was in storage and the battery leaked. The acid soaked into the circuit board and destroyed it.

I've seen them go for everything from 350 GBP and up, a drag for a student that makes that much money a month. :P

Well that UK plug won't be any problem, got a converter (or what it's called), so I guess I'll just have to find the cheapest flight to LA now.

Such a shame, they are nice instruments. But I guess all material things have to fall apart at some point, just sad that they always seem to break when one's living.
