It was just a suspicion until I did the totting up yesterday (thanks to the splendid Gigography), but by the time the last of the Autumn dates are out of the way Polly will have been touring Hope 6 for longer than any other album - unless you count all the dates the first line-up played before Dry came out. Not, perhaps, as many performances, but a more extended period. I'm not sure what, if anything, that tells us, but it's 'worth noting'.
I assume the current tour is the most expensive tour of hers (considering big band, private jets, elaborate backdrops, lighting, and all of the musical equipment - with more than 20 only on-stage monitors and stuff), so it's probably the management wanting to make it profitable. Plus, despite being stretched in time, it should be somewhat "comfy" for PJ this time around - there are extended gaps between "tour legs", and this declarative "no interviews" thing, so she can concentrate solely on singing and live performance itself, which is the time when "songs make most sense" to her, as she was saying a lot.
