The thing that I remember most was the sound. Being that close, you could actually feel the sound. The sound was also spectacularly clear. The PA mains were way to our sides and above so we were hearing the amps themselves and the drums etc, even John's banjo. There was no boominess or room effects either. And seeing Polly's every expression was also a bonus. It was basically like being in a studio with them.

It was totally worth standing for a REALLY long time to be that close.
