Agh, I've been wanting to get to one of these occasional Bridport shows as it's so close, probably quite exclusive this one though with 200 (!)

Oh well, awesome anyway.

The show was for family and friends with very limited tickets available to the public, which were not sold through any regular ticket service - very local.

A few tidbits about the show from a couple of friends lucky enough to be there:

Just before the band went on stage Dachau Blues was played.
Setlist was mostly the new album with a few songs from TBYML, ITD & WC thrown in.
Polly played autoharp, a classic guitar, an Airline '59 3P, and an Eros Mark II Gibson SG copy.
Mick Harvey contributed bass, keyboards and lots of backing vocals.
Polly joked she was worried they would be playing to only 10 people, all from the town of Eype.
Silence was suppose to be the last song but they did an unplanned Down By The Water.

"poor quality clip", nonetheless brilliant!

Even with that aweful sound, it seems amazing. It sounds like the most interesting track from those we already know (Let England Shake, The Last Living Rose, Written On the Forehead) but completely different.

Someone who attended messaged me on FB to say that they're waiting on Admin approval for their new account (halfpint_fighter), and that they have setlist/pics.etc.
Can't wait to see :)

Well hello!

Who wants to see a set list?

My wife asked the one of the band politely after the gig for a copy that was on stage and...

The last 2 songs were going to be the encore but then I think John and the band didn't end properly so Polly said they couldn't end the set like that.

She then said they needed to practice the next song some more so they would try it out on us. The Keyboard/Bass player said he thought they had dropped this song!
So the final song was actually 'Down by the Water'

The 10 people comment was due to the snow, she thanked everyone for making the journey. It was -11 outside

The tickets were sold by 'Bridport Music' Polly's local shop. The public in attendance being people like us! I sell music books and the music shop are one of my customers hence i heard about the gig and was sworn to secrecy.

We drove 120 miles each way to get there in the snow, had to uncover my car...

The reason for the gig was to thank and raise money for the venue where she recorded Let England Shake
