Anybody have any idea how access to presale tickets will work?

Once again, only a day or two from announcement to when tickets go on sale... :???:

What, no shows in DC...

Does anyone have the presale password or code for the Richmond VA show? Or where I can get it?

Been trying to get tix for the LA Greek Theatre show since the pre-sale started. No luck. I HATE Ticketmaster so, so much. Also, tix are ridiculously expensive for this show. $80 for decent seats, before taxes/service fees. Ugh. Still gonna try though, but yeah.... only for PJ.

It appears the Livenation mobile app offers "password free" presales:
http://www.livenation.com/mobile/

Also some possible hints here:
http://insider.ticketmaster.com/presale-ticket-tips/

At least for LA, it appears there are:
- Citi cardmember presale
- Livenation mobile app presale
- Livenation presale
- venue presale

"Citi Offer
Password Information: Enter the first 6 digits of your Citi credit card or Citibank Debit MasterCard account number (no dashes). Offer open to Citi® MasterCard® cardholders who are legal residents of the 50 United States or District of Columbia. To purchase offer tickets you must make your purchase using a valid Citi® MasterCard®. Limited time offer, available on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last. Tickets are final and non-refundable. "

Most of these presales appear to run from 10 AM to 10 PM only on the day of the presale. Sorry I was so late with this, SF presale starts 12/14 at 10 AM and ends 12/15 at 10 PM. Denver appears to have presale on Dec 9 and general sale on Dec 10.

Thanks, Dr. Dark and no worries!

I continued to get errors, changed browsers, and still got the "Sorry an error occurred please try again" message, so I downloaded the app and got the same damn tickets I kept trying to online. Scored 3 tickets=almost $300 dollars. Came to $98.30 per ticket after service fees. Probably the most I've spent on 1 concert ticket, ever.

Gosh, that's roughly two-thirds more than we paid for the London concert. How does that compare to prices elsewhere?

The tickets (GA) for Warsaw were a little over 180PLN/€40/$45/£35 (roughly; a rounded-up conversion). I was actually surprised they were so cheap because 8 years earlier I had paid around 220PLN/€50/$55/£40 for a White Chalk show, and it was just her as opposed to a 10-piece band now.

I just bought a ticket for the San Francisco show!

I could only buy one ticket, not even two. They never asked for a passcode. I logged in on my computer and my phone at the same time, there was no option for seats, and it didn't tell you what you got until after you paid for it. The phone offered a VIP option, so I got that although I don't know what it is, I get to go into the "California Room." I don't know what that is, probably a space where you can sit down if you want.

I guess this is all fine, just weird. PJ in May.WHOOP!

Got 2 balcony tickets for SF ($75 + $16 "fees") = $91 each. Venue parking was $35.

My experience was a little better, but not much. The Live Nation (android) mobile app is shite. It locked up multiple times (requiring a power cycle of the phone). I eventually got it to work, but couldn't get past a captcha screen. On my PC with the Chrome browser I was able to specify more than 1 ticket (they allowed up to 4). After getting in (which did require the presale code) I looked at several offerings, but opted to keep trying for sections closer to the sides (like 2&3 or 9&10), but never saw them offered. Eventually I got stuck in a capcha loop and had to bail out and use another computer. Didn't want to chance it so opted for 2 tickets in section 5 after a few attempts at the closer sections.

The presale code for SF (TURNTABLE for livenation, COVERT for LN mobile app) was found the night before via a google search. I did find a site that for $5 would show you the code(s) and gave them $5. It turned out to be the same codes that the free site showed me. Neither of these supposed methods of getting a code seemed to be working:

1. emails prior to the presale from ticketmaster when you have an account there with PJ as one of your favorites
2. posts in ticketmaster's FB and Twitter feeds (unless I wasn't looking in the proper places)

So it looks like a simple google search will usually find the presale code and just using a web browser (not the mobile app) may be the safest way to get tickets.

BTW, the site offering the presale codes (subscription was $5 for 5 days, then $20/mo) seemed to be intended for professional ticket "brokers":
http://www.tmpresale.com/

H&HW found SF tickets today shortly after the presale started going for 2-3X the venue price (in all sections).
https://seatgeek.com/pj-harvey-tickets/san-francisco-california-the-masonic-2017-05-09-8-30-pm/concert/3650549

Ya know, I have a complaint. If the intent of the presales is to let true fans have access to seats before the general public, it sure doesn't seem to be working for us poor PJ fans. but maybe I'm misunderstanding things. Perhaps their purpose is more industry specific for ticketmaster's and/or the venue's benefit? I don't get it. Has anyone seen some hint of an official PJ channel giving out presale codes? I sure haven't. In the old days, this would've been one of the reasons for a "fan club".

Check out these links for how to become a professional "ticket broker"

http://www.theticketbrokerguide.com/
https://www.boxofficefox.com/

They were linked in my tmpresales email this morning.

I have to say their offer of a California only membership for $17/yr is tempting though:
https://www.tmpresale.com/local-codes-and-presale-passwords/california17

Their normal full membership is $20/mo.

Added Forecastle Festival to the list in the top post (even though it's not technically part of the Spring 2017 NA Tour). No exact date set at this time. If a Summer 2017 NA Festival Tour happens I'll make a new thread for that and put the Forecastle gig there.

[BTW, canceled my tmpresale ($5 for 5 days) membership today without trouble. They seem pretty reputable so the $5 investment appears to be a fairly low cost and safe way to get a one-time presale code. I also uninstalled that F$&*ing Livenation mobile app from my phone. How that piece of shite ever got 3.9 stars in the Google Playstore is a mystery. Every recent post is a 1 star review so they must've busted something.]
