From http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/gallery ... a-mochnacz
"I first met Polly while doing a photography course in Weston-super-Mare,' says Mochnacz. 'John Parish was my boyfriend at the time"

Maybe old news for you, but news to me...

I don't remember when I read it, but know I heard this bit of information somewhere. There are also a series of photos of Automatic Dlamini that she took during that time period.

Did I miss something? I read on that page this bit:

"Maria says: 'This is a photo of Polly. It's from a series that formed part of the video for Angelene, a song from Polly's album Is this Desire?. The images were supposed to resemble passport photos, as though the machine had gone wrong. So the pictures were stained to distress the Polaroids. I sprinkled some with bleach or put them through in the washing machine. The video is just a series of slow dissolves through the images with only one small portion of real movement at the end with Polly mouthing the last line of the song.'"

And I don't remember the spoken video. Is it uploaded anywhere? really curious now.. :)

As far as I know, this has never surfaced.

Lovely page that one. I browsed every pic of PJ and there are really great stories about how the most of the iconic images were made. Photocopy machine in public library for DRY! Who would have thought! Not me at least. :)
