Don't blame her! I was brought up on a farm and foxes and BSE are undoubtedly the worst memories I have of it.

That's why I don't blame her either. I live in a small village with woods near and it's not rare to see a fox in the street when it's dark, and I hear the farmers get their chicken slaughtered sometimes. Once I also literally walked into a fox just in front of the house... and he wasn't even afraid of me!
Anyway, I just don't understand the fact that some people actually like killing them (or any other animal) and consider it a sport.

Hell: what's a rider??

Not long ago, she traced her family tree back six generations as a gift for her parents. "I think it was only one generation above my parents that lived here," she says. Her ancestors "mainly seemed to come from up north, the Midlands. A lot of shoemakers and tailors actually."

Pitchfork: I've read that you only sleep three or four hours a night.

Harvey: Really? This is another one of those myths. Goodness gracious, no! I need to have eight hours or I'm grumpy and good for nothing. I think you're getting me confused with Margaret Thatcher [laughs]. She has the same birthday as me.

It's part of the performing contract, although not as binding as financials. It includes things like stage layout and monitor requirements, but also what sort of food and drink the band would like in the green room. You know, no blue M&Ms. ;)

You know, the one for Polly was the only one I've seen, and I have no idea why it was sent to me. (I'm away from home and don't have it with me.) The WORST one, although it wasn't in writing, was for a very well known artist who refused to take the stage until somebody scored some cocaine for him. But he's better now. ;)

^

"making him one of the shortest men in the world"

No, somebody taller. I'm afraid that cocaine usage is too broad of a clue. ;)

Does anyone think Polly was influenced by Bob Marley's Is This Love while writing This Is Love?
"Is this love, is this love, is this love, that I'm feelin?"
vs
"This is love, this is love, that I'm feelin"

Who knows, the music is very different but the theme is not uncommon. I don't think so, but I really have no idea.

Civil War Correspondent is such a perfect song. I love John's "mhhhmmmmmm"s in the background and PJ's "ahhhhhhhh"s.
Would anyone be interested in a Save My Fave PJ/JP edition? The Polly albums one was fun.

Isn't it just! And "Un Cercle Autour Du Soleil" is excellent too. Infact, I thought that whole album was really good. Why no one else seems to like it is beyond me.
