Polly's Let England Shake scores a number one on this week's Toronto Star Ant-Hit list:

The Anti-Hit List An alternative Top 10
By John Sakamoto
Staff Reporter

1. PJ HARVEY

“Let England Shake”

Music needs more unadulterated weirdness, plain and simple. Enter PJ Harvey. Accompanying herself on autoharp and playing over top of what sounds like an awkwardly integrated loop of The Four Lads’ 1953 hit “Istanbul (Not Constantinople),” it’s worth the price of admission alone to hear Harvey circle back unexpectedly near the song’s end and start singing along with the sample. Bring on the album.
