I've just got hold of two odd cover-style albums - not sure if they are on the site elsewhere (and apologies if so), but wanted to share.

Twinkle Twinkle Little Rock Star - Lullaby verisons of PJ Harvey is an odd little album with quite creepy, slowed down version of tunes done on a kind of organ and glockenspiel combo... The track listing is out of order (The Wheel is track 2, not 10, and 2-9 become 3-10). I got it off Amazon, but delivered from the USA: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01 ... UTF8&psc=1

A bit more substantial is the Vitamin String Quartet recording String Quartet Triblute to PJ Harvey. Will definitely get more repeat listens, and nothing like as weird as the lullabies! https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00 ... UTF8&psc=1

Anyone else heard them?

Never heard of these

I have to wonder if they actually got permission for this. It's hard to believe Polly would've allowed this.

A Twinkle Twinkle version of Trout Mask Replica would be entertaining. :shades:

This kinda reminds me of those toy piano videos on YT:

Or these:

... but, then, if you state that 'once a record is finished I have no control over it any more, and it belongs to the people', you've sort of painted yourself into a corner over that ...

I've just heard on the radio a couple talking about their small girl being lulled to sleep in the car by a CD of lullaby versions of Prince. If you Google 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Rock Star' you'll find dozens of these things. Or you could save yourself the distress and take my word for it.

By now I think there must be hundreds of artists 'covered' in this way by Twinkle Twinkle Little Rock Star / Rock-a-bye Lullabies; they've been around for yeeears. If anything I'm surprised it took them so long to do a PJ Harvey CD. It's not like recording these cheesy MIDI samples takes much time or effort. :D
