I mean no disrespect, but IMO this thread - http://www.thegardenforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2257 - is much more suitable for all the happy ticket-holders "bragging".

Gloat is not pretty either (just saying).

Plus, this thread is called "NEWS", and when someone sees an indication about new post in here, they would normally (I imagine) get excited to read something new about Polly Jean, and the fact that someone got his ordered ticket is NOT a global news - that's a news from this person's life. So it's all about not confusing people (trust me, I'm already accepted the fact that I, most likely, will never see her in concert).

Please, don't ban me. )))

Kuk91 is right. That post should've been moved to the thread he showed.

I would've done it, but it's been so long since I've moved a post that I probably would've messed it up.

OK folks if we're no careful we are going to get way too picky - so does this thread have to capture ALL news regarding our beloved Polly or just the new pertaining AFTER "Recording in Progress", because surely news of the book & live appearance reading & discussing the book should have it's own thread too as it's nowt to do with the recording....... just saying
oh and Kuk91 i don't think anyone around here would contemplate banning a proper fan, lets hope Polly ventures your way when she does her next tour

Hmmmmm..... *headexplodes*

But points taken. I would certainly be excited and post if I were able to buy a ticket, but let's be careful to put these in the "proper" thread. I don't think one mishap here is a problem, it just illustrates the point. Please carry on...

http://blurtonline.com/feature/the-story-behind-the-album-gallon-drunks-from-the-heart-of-town/

James Johnston, who currently lives in London with his wife Nicola, has been busy working on the latest PJ Harvey record and is slated to tour with her in 2016.

You are playing on the new PJ Harvey album? Did you write any of the material? Will you tour with her?

- All the songs on the record are written by Polly. It’s going to be a fantastic record, and the touring will be next year, 2016. Very much looking forward to it.

"Terry [Edwards] and I are both working with PJ so that'll take up a lot of time."

They just used "Down By the Water" in the newest episode of "Ash vs. Evil Dead"!! It played in the car of Lucy Lawless' character.

http://www.thesundaytimes.co.uk/sto/news/ireland/article1641705.ece?CMP=OTH-gnws-standard-2015_12_05

"Seamus Murphy, who guided Harvey on tours of Kosovo and Afghanistan in preparation for the project, is making music videos to accompany the record, and a theatrical documentary about their collaboration."

“<...> I did a studio shoot with her recently, which was unusual for both of us. I did something different with a piece of her clothing and she said, ‘This is what I love about working with you. We have these mad ideas. Other people probably hate them but we like it.’”

I just listened to this in-phone interview with Seamus Murphy - he said that the documentary will be a "process film" about developing of this whole book-and-the-album project, so it will also feature the footage from "Recording in Progress".

The link above is dead now - it was just an announcement on the site of this radio station.

Apparently, this magazine features an interview (and could not be found anywhere online as of yet).

Polly sure loves to give only "exclusive" interviews lately.
