I'm Russian, so my English isn't perfect either, but here's what I gathered:
"The Guest Room"
One grey dove (?) circles the ruins A jet heads to the base A boy sings to the bird He carries a blue gas canister
"Where shall I go? I have no home. I had a place, but guests came. And they remained. Where shall I go?"
He leads us thru the village One cockerel (?), a pile of shoes Outside the curtained door
Children bring us tea and bread I wish we had brought gifts I hope we'll know when to leave
And the second one:
Dead Tanks beside the Panchier River [I'm not sure if that's a title or the first line]
A blackened armor let fall (?) at high water 30 years before Silence, except for a numbing wind Downstream kids shoot slings between sheets of twisted metal Trees, burned to their upper limbs, somehow continue to grow Pale grass thru the collapsed holes (?) They rust, and wait until the waters rise again
Panchier River is located in Afghanistan, I believe. And if those tanks were there for 30 years, maybe that's a russian tanks she's talking about (Soviet "Afghan campaign" has taken place from 1979 to 1989).
