Let England Shake is probably my 2nd favorite now!!!!

:D

I can't stop listening to it and singing it everywhere I go.

I was in the grocery the other day singing "England's dancing days are done..." to myself.

And hearts that threaten to pop their boxes...

LOVE THIS RECORD.

Also, true story, I was listening to LES (the song) on the bus going to work and I looked out and saw two Army recruiters talking to some kids outside of the YMCA and it was right on the part where she goes - "Heavy stones are falling!" and it just fit so well.
I can't believe how immediate this album feels, while still feeling like it could have been written 2000 years ago. Timeless.

I made my decision (in chronological order without DHALP and AWAMWB):

Is This Desire?
White Chalk
Let England England Shake

...went hellwards...
...holding up their rifles high...

That took an embarrassingly long time to choose!

I settled on:

Is This Desire?
Uh Huh Her
Let England Shake- though I kept swapping this around with Rid of Me. LES wins today.

Rid of me
Raw, powerful and still an exciting experience. Personally love the way Albini recorded this.

Is this desire?
Incredibly captivating atmosphere.

White Chalk
Took a while to grow on me. Now I think it's one of the most beautiful albums ever made.

The list seems to change every once in a while. It's really only TBYML and SFTS that for some reason have always felt a bit...distant for me (still very good though!).

1) White Chalk

Definitely the best one to me, made me cry so many times of nostalgy. A perfect atmosphere in it, no other artist is able to create something like this.

2) Is This Desire?

Full of emotion too.

3) To Bring You My Love

Classic.
