white chalk, by a mile. not a fan. i will probably like it in another five years or so and wonder why i ever hated it.
i love uh huh her and feel - conceptually - it's spot on. it's written from the perspective of an older person in a long term relationship that isn't working well but that the protagonist is still desperate to make work. super fucking painful for me to hear at times. i've limped this marriage around here and there trying to make it to a clearing.
TBYML was a favorite of mine for a number of years. ITD = immediate and profound love.
but i think 4 track demos will continue to reign. that was what i first started listening to. i bought a cassette way way back in the day. 6 bucks, which i could afford. lol *so* glad i bought it!
stories is a fantastic pop album. i adore it.
