Excellent show, not the old Zep stuff (but we knew that) he's matured well & assembled a great bunch of musicians for this new album & tour.
they did a brilliant job of covering a few early Zep tracks transforming them into cool bluesy numbers.

1st time i'd been to the relatively new Birmingham Symphony Hall, a lovely place - reminded me (internally) so much of the Copenhagen Royal Opera House where we met up to see our Pol back in 2006....so long ago now!!

hey, but i had a major surprise when i collected my tickets  .....
Spoiler! :

a brilliant night in all :shades:

Have you seen 'Oil City Confidential', mart? I haven't, but it looks quite good and I've heard good things about it. I think Julien Temple won an award for it recently.

Comment on youtube:

'If you can get to Bath, UK on 16 November, the Bath Film Festival are screening OIL CITY CONFIDENTIAL, Julien Temple's terrific documentary about Dr Feelgood, followed by a live performance by The Wilko Johnson Band. Happening at Komedia in Bath. Unmissable!'

Is below this clip of the trailer:

Probably seen him more times than any other band, used to go to Half Moon Putney regularly to get guitar machine-gunned. There's a definate screw loose there somewhere, but in a good way

Rodrigo y Gabriela (brilliant) and Goldfrapp (a little lacklustre) just gone. GY!BE and Amos curated ATP's next, 7 days of music (managed to score photopasses which will be fun).

no longer upcoming but three days past
the show in Gothenburg this Saturday last
when I saw Imogen Heap for the first time
it was truly spectacular stunningly sublime
so to well enough describe its excellence
I feel that I can only quote the words
"an epic concert" uttered afterwards
by another member of the audience

I continue my habit of making rhyme
to describe such a musical good time
an experience that merits more than prose
if I am truly to express my personal praise
now that it's been no less than three days
since I saw Immi Heap perform a full doze
of her songs on stage, a two and half hour set
with a five-member band, how very well met
I do declare, that I was actually there!

Went to see Godlfrapp last tuesday in Brussels (for the 3rd time in a couple of months) and it was absolutely brilliant!
Alison was radiant and as gorgeous as ever, musicians in top form, and I had a hell of a good time!
I have developed a slight obsession for Alison lately... :)
